The concrete assistance we provide: the facts

In four years, Oliver Twist approved 20 projects aimed at minors, with a total investment of over 6.1 million euros. The use of these resources was focused on two Italian regions: Lombardy (in the North) and Campania (in the South).

The Foundation run seven of its projects directly: Junior Groove Academy, Scuola Oliver Twist, Momo, Il Piccolo Principe, Capitan Uncino, La casa di Sam and La fabbrica del talento. It is also responsible for 13 other projects which are run externally by organisations carefully selected for their competence, professionalism and propriety. Some of them (In Cordata, Momo) can be repeated for several years.

All these projects relate to minors in difficulty. They take the form of primary prevention, designed to counteract different forms of social exclusion, and secondary prevention by opening or renovating day and residential education centres for abused, ill-treated and abandoned minors with the aim of preventing them from being separated from their families or, when this is no longer possible, providing them with an alternative place to stay.
