What it involvesThis project involves setting up an emergency response centre in Bariano, Bergamo. After analysing the area and its specific requirements, Oliver Twist supervised the development of the project and provided some of the necessary financial resources to allow renovation of the farmhouse in which the centre was to be established.

The AFA - Associazione Famiglie per l’Accoglienza (family association for taking in minors) was founded in 1986. It became a social cooperative in 1993 and, today, provides residential services to approximately 150 minors and manages 4 education centres for children and young people in difficulty aged 8 to 21 as well as 2 centres for teenage mothers.
